Sharing a Kennel Run

What a shared kennel run means for your pet's stay and how to sign the facility's sharing waiver in the portal.

Updated 2 Nov 2026

Some facilities let pets from different households share a kennel run during a boarding stay. If your pet's stay is booked as shared, the facility may ask you to sign its sharing waiver before drop-off.

Signing the sharing waiver

  1. Open the booking in the portal.
  2. Find the Shared kennel run card. It shows the run, the dates of the stay and whether your pet is booked to share with pets from another household.
  3. Read the facility's waiver wording.
  4. Type your full name, tick the box to confirm you agree, and choose Agree and sign.

The card then shows who signed and when. You only sign once for each stay in a run.

If your pet is booked to share with another household, the facility can't check your pet in to the shared run until the waiver is signed. You can also sign it at the desk when you arrive.

When your pet is booked into a run beside another household's pet and your waiver isn't signed yet, the facility may email you once for that stay with a link to the Shared kennel run card. This can happen when the facility assigns the run, approves your booking, or starts asking for waivers. Some facilities don't send this email, and you won't get it if you've turned email notifications off, so check the card on your booking before drop-off.

Price

A shared stay may cost less per night than having the run to yourself. The booking shows the price for the run your pet is in. If the facility moves your pet to a different run, the price may change; once you have paid or been invoiced, the facility will contact you about any difference.

Questions about the waiver

The waiver is the facility's own document. Contact the facility if you have questions about what it covers or if you'd rather your pet had a run to itself.
